I'd like to suggest this:

any image attachments in the Attachments table to also be shown inline as thumbnails.

IMHO, the thumbnail to appear where the arrow points (between the image attachment description and the uploading date):

We could display a very small thumbnail but it shouldn't take more vertical space.
