Deauthorizes at random moments.
Since a few weeks authorization is lost about once per day. I need to go into settings and request authorization again to fix until it happens again.
I caught the moment where deauthorization happened in the console:
Opening track for playback: "D:\Music Library\Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma (2010)\06 - Flying Lotus - Computer Facepure Being.mp3"
Minibar scanning D:\Music Library\Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma (2010)\06 - Flying Lotus - Computer Facepure Being.mp3

This happens to me all the time too.
This is happening really frequently. In the absence of an actual fix, it would be good to have some way outside of the Console of being notified when authorization is lost...
I've removed resetting authentication when last.fm returns "error: 4". Please let me know how this works out as I never experience this error myself.
Thanks so much. I've installed it and will monitor the authentication state.
I seem to lose authorization within a matter of minutes. last.fm settings doesn't even show the component in the list of authenticated apps. I used Firefox (default browser) to complete the auth when I requested authorization in foobar. Windows 10 pro x64.

Then you didn't complete the authorization process. foo_scrobble cannot remove itself from that list.
