User received DM noting 'account not activated'
A user reported they received a DM from the Praise Bot noting their account was not active -- it was not a response to any of their input commands.
I checked the production database: they have a user
, useraccount
, and useraccount.activateToken
defined. They have been a quantifer so have definitely logged in before. They do not have the praise-giver role however.
From TEC Discord:
osycross(🦎🦎) — Today at 11:52 AM Why is your bot saying my account is not active? /praise-activate mattyjee — Today at 11:55 AM The new command is just /activate osycross(🦎🦎) — Today at 11:55 AM But I quantify yesterday, why not active today? mattyjee — Today at 12:16 PM Where did you see the notice that your account is not activated? I think the notice may be incorrect -- you might just be missing the 'Praise Giver' role on discord. osycross(🦎🦎) — Today at 12:18 PM The bot sent me a chat mattyjee — Today at 12:19 PM Was the chat that you've been praised? Or something else? osycross(🦎🦎) — Today at 12:19 PM Something else .x Account Not Activated Your account is not activated in the praise system. Unactivated accounts can not praise users. Use the /praise-activate command to activate your praise account and to link your eth address. mattyjee — Today at 12:22 PM was this in response to running a bot command? osycross(🦎🦎) — Today at 12:23 PM No, I just received it from the tec bot
Most likely this is not an issue anymore but let's keep the issue open for a while.
