Ubuntu 20.04 - System Tray not Recognized

Open DiagonalArg opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

Ubuntu 20.04, CherryTree 0.99.37. Enabling the following options does not work:

[ ] Enable System Tray Docking [ ] Start Minimized in the System Tray

Enable the first and the question of whether the system tray has appeared on the panel pops up. It does not appear, but the system, GNOME, does have a tray. I have KeyBase, CopyQ, RedShift, NextCloud and LivePatch all docked there.

Here's a picture of the tray.

There is a fix about the system tray upcoming in 0.99.38, please try it there and report the status

Perhaps I should close this then. I can reopen if there's a problem.

Reopening ...

I'm on 0.99.41 now, and the problem persists.

Hi, running Ubuntu 22.04.2 with Cherrytree 0.99.55 and the issue still persits. When starting from CLI, I am getting information as usual... ..config parsed ..autosave started

When I am activating the option for system tray in the settings, I am getting this on the CLI: [2023-06-04 07:37:19.570] [gtk] [critical] gtk_widget_get_scale_factor: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

Would be great to see this back working!
