In https://github.com/umami-software/umami/issues/2710 has emerged the possibility to make this feature configurable, I'd make configurable only the visualization leaving the filtering always enabled. But I'm quite open to any design modifications.
I actually implemented the feature myself, if this feature could be accepted I can work on it to make the PR pass all the validation.
