🙌 Project on HOLD
Hello everyone,
Thank you everyone for taking interest in this project. Due to some reasons, I am not able to work on this project for now.
But, rest assured I am not dropping this project and will continue working on it very soon. PINKY PROMISE 😉
In case, you need further updates regarding the status of this project, you can subscribe to this issue.
Right now, I am working on working on another open source project LogChimp, an self-hostable application to keep track user feedback to build better products. There will be pre-release version very soon, do give a star to the repository if that sounds interesting to you.
I am bit late to make this announcement, sorry about that 😋
Thank you @mittalyashu
Hey @mittalyashu, any news on when you can come back to this project ?
It's a very promising project but I can't use it because of #3575
Hope you can find some time to take care of this project. I will take a look at #3579 and see if I can help to continue this abandoned PR.
Hello @Sebclem,
Thank you for taking interest in Thermal project 🙂
Lots of people have asked me about the issue they're facing with #3575. I will take a look this weekend and that will allow other developers to contribute to this project.
If you've any questions regarding this PR #3579, you at mentioned me in that PR.
Happy commits @mittalyashu
I'm assuming this project is still on hold?
If so, what other clients would you recommend for Windows? Like a Top 3 :)
- JetBrains IDEs (all platforms)
- Fork (Windows & Mac only)
- SmartGit (all platforms)
All proprietary and premium, unfortunately.
But, I just discovered that Gittyup, a recent continuation of GitAhead, might be the one open source git client that could be good enough (for instance, it supports partial commits, which I waited forever for GitAhead to implement and never did).
As for the other open source Git clients, I've tested them all, and none is good enough.
But, rest assured I am not dropping this project and will continue working on it very soon. PINKY PROMISE 😉
you broke a pinky promise. oh man
Yeah, that's wrong.
However, here's an update on Gittyup : after using it for a year, it turns out to be a very good alternative, even if not as great as Fork and SmartGit.
