I would like to recommend paste the commit message of 4c0a35b12161eeeb7e8bf45e6b619175b971c953 in the README.md file as documentation.

I had to read it a couple of times but it explains clearly each entry what is intended. If I'm not wrong, the default group (${groupPrefix}default) is used when the LDAP group doesn't exist but the group already exists in Gitlab. Is it correct?
