Nerd Font glyphs fail to render in VS Code

Nerd Font symbols included in the Monaspace font family (e.g., Neon, Argon) do not render correctly in VS Code, appearing as question marks ?. This issue occurs in both the integrated terminal and the code editor.

They work in other terminals, e.g. in Wezterm:

Desktop Environment:

  • OS: macOS Sonoma 15.4.1
  • Monaspace Version: v1.301
  • VS Code version: v1.93.0

I have the same issue.

My nerd font works in the editor, but not in the terminal.

I am not sure if it is the same issue, but I have also noticed that some NF glyphs are not properly rendered:

This also causes cascading garbage character gets dumped to my terminal.

FYI, I changed back to my old NF-patched font and it immediately fixes it:
