svg images doesnot show after uplaoding to github

i added an svg icon to a botton it worked on the editor. after uploading the project to github and creating a page for it the icon wont show.

It looks, like SVG images are destroyed when uploaded to github... Test: gqrx-master0

Click the image to open it and see it destroyed. Funny thing: if I right click the image and download it from context menu, it opens correctly. If I try to open it in a separate widow from github, it looks corrupted and it's contents are completely different if saved.
