Describe the need

Some developers who use do not use VS Code have the ability to benefit from agentic type modes like recently launched in the IDE for copilot usage: https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2025/04/07/agentMode

While some copilot extensions exist for other IDEs like the Intellij family, having CLI based agent similar to Claude Code would open up adoption capabilities regardless of developer IDE preference
