This feature lets developers edit a previous user message and re-execute the action, making it easier to control and adjust the context of an active coding session.

Proposed solution

In Codex CLI, there is an Esc–Esc to edit a previous message feature, providing an excellent experience for developers. This feature allows us to edit previous user messages and redo the previous action for the source code, enabling us to control the context of the active session effectively.
