Irrelevant "The extension github wants to sign into github"

I am running WSL. I get this error when running a command in the builtin terminal. When I run the same command in a regular terminal, it works fine without "signing into github". I assume the github extension is somehow intercepting a network access to github.com. I couldn't figure out how to remove this "github" extension either.
