Encounter "Sorry, an error occurred while generating a response." frequently

Describe the bug

Versions

  • Copilot for Xcode: 0.43.0
  • Xcode: 26.0 beta 7 (17A5305k)
  • macOS: 26.0 Beta (25A5351b)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use agent mode
  2. Normally use.
  3. Encounter this issue very frequently, I had to continue many times for one prompt.

Same here. With different models. Switching models sometimes seems to help for a short while, but then the issue happens again.

Do you configure any MCP servers in Xcode copilot? We have some internal users mentioning that this only occurred with MCP server context 7 enabled. Disable MCP works fine.

I have context7, but it is not used during the issue. I will disable it and see.

I haven’t installed any MPC servers in Xcode.
