Erlang Slack, general channel (message link)
This isn't a generally viewable location as it requires an invitation to access. We need a freely accessible and generally available location as a reference as anyone should by able to see and join, the community discussion.

Hmm, it was probably deleted because how new my Reddit account is. Couldn't find any proper way to reach the Erlang community.
🤔 this doesn't appear to be getting much community support in either direction.
I think it might be an idea to put your proposal out on one of the publicly accessible mailing lists listed in the Community section of https://www.erlang.org/community
I'm happy to accept this change if there is a community-based publicly accessible location people can express their support or objections about the change that is not in this repo. This is to prevent a repeat of what happened with the rust colour change in https://github.com/github/linguist/pull/4319
I've also just noticed that the current colour seems to match that from the cover of the O'Reilly books.
Closing this as there's been no progress on establishing a discussion within formal Erlang community channels. Feel free to open a new PR once this has been done and concensus has been agreed.
