Feature Request: Manage remotes in project settings page

Follow-up feature request to

In the next major release, this value won't be cached anymore and be taken from Git each time. Thus, what can be inferred from Git will be inferred, to avoid stale-cache issues in future. For anything else, we plan to leverage Git configuration to the fullest extend so it will be easier to change any setting, with or without UI, without having to deal with yet another JSON file.

Currently, we can change the target branch we would like to track. It would be nice if we could also add/remove/modify remotes in this section. Thank you guys for the fantastic tool :)

Here is probably a good place to analyse the feature. It would be interesting to know what other Git clients can do in that realm to know the prior art. Then it would be good to know what people do with remotes most of the time, maybe what causes the most trouble as well. Maybe that could lead to a good idea of what kind of implementation here would offer the highest value.
