Let's try to publish this edition on Wednesday August 31st 2022!
Thanks!

as suggested by @carenas on the issue for edition 89.
I'm currently on vacation, and I am not sure if I will be able to post my links for this edition, before the 1st of September.
With bba5ca1, I have pushed a change to the Gemfile which was - to my limited Ruby knowledge - the only way to proceed after thoroughly cleaning up my Jekyll environment, which had been still running on Ruby 2.7. The new addition should still work with Ruby 2.7, but I do not have a reasonably cheap chance for verification. Please check in your environments, and feel free to refine or revert.

I was on vacation last week too. I think it's Ok if we are a few days late. Let us know if you cannot post your links at all before September 3 (next Saturday).
@mjaix I don't use a local environment anymore as it's relatively rare these days when I want to test something. Let's see if some people still do that and have issues with what you have pushed.
@jnareb please tell us if you can post your link before September 3 (next Saturday).
Anyway I just sent the draft email and I think we will have enough material, even without many links, for an edition. We can still hopefully have more links in the next edition to compensate a bit for a only few links in this one.

This section:
Junio also suggested not distinguishing between '<guide>' and
'<doc>' arguments in the `git help` documentation as when we will
have enough man pages in different sections, we will be able to use
'<doc>' for everything that is not related to a specific command
doesn't render as expected on GitHub - everything in the <angle brackets> gets dropped unless they are escaped, like \< \>:

Might not be a problem in the final format though.
@chooglen thanks for noticing! I will try to better escape it.

I try to proofread the edition today. Sorry for the delay on my side.
Maybe add links to the "Git database internals" blog series? (#1, #2, #3, more parts to come)
Also, it might be interesting for Rev News readers to read about the full line-up of GitMerge speakers.
Supplied a bunch of fixes and rephrasings with b1d0ca5 . Please feel free to further refine/revert/...

Part 4 is now available, too.
[EDIT: removed a suggestion to link to an announcement that has hence been reversed, which I had missed before.]
@dscho thanks for removing the suggestion to link to that article, and thanks for your other suggestions!
@chriscool could you also add part 5 of the blog series?
@dscho Ok, I will add them all.

I see I was too late with adding my links. Never mind, they would go into the next edition then.
@jnareb yeah, no worries.
