SDRs issues about gr-tempest?

Hello again!

I've been working on gr-tempest for a while now, and I have several questions. To contextualize, I don't have an USRPB200, but an ADALM-PLUTO and a HACKRF. Also, I can read the "grabacion" files without any problem. However, I don't have a readable result for HDMI.

  • Are there any "grabacion" file which are not recorded with USRPB200 but with a cheaper SDR?

  • Do someone know or have experienced gr-tempest with a HackRF or an ADALM-PLUTO? If so, could you give me your setup/what have you done for getting a good result with HDMI

  • Does the signal from the "grabacion_HDMI.dat" files have been filtered ? (I can see harmonics with my SDRs)

Hello again.

  • Mmmmm no. USRPs are in my experience great pieces of hardware and I always try to use ours.
  • HackRF is not so good as a receiver. It has an 8-bit converter in addition to other not-so-great specs. They told me great things about the ADALM-PLUTO, but haven't tested one yet.
  • No, it hasn't been filtered. It's as-is. best
