Associate .syb (Symphytum Backup) files with Symphytum backup import

Feature suggestion received by email to add an icon to the .syb files and to open them with symphytum to import a backup.

Each operating system has a custom file association procedure. So this needs to be investigated how to do it on all 3 supported systems.

Windows: file type association through the registry? macOS: info.plist? Linux: MIME file type, .desktop file?

Status: needs investigation, help wanted (anyone already with experience about doing this?)
