xmp Sidecar files

Hi, thank you very much for your work to this app. It looks like, that I am not able to use your App correctly. I have a lot of photos in my Nextcloud. Most of the jpg/cr2/org files have xmp sidecars, made by Darktable and Xnview. I thought the metadata app would show me some details out of the xmp sidecar files. What did I wrong?

At the moment, sidecar files are supported for RAW files only (as per #21).

Would it be possible for you to submit some samples? Would be helpful in development and testing.

Yes, I saw this Issue (#21). It's for Sony Camera RAW-Files. I do not want to bother you. I think I am using the App wrong or I have the wrong expectation. Sure, I can give you some more examples of RAW-Files and .xmp-Files. I am not sure about if that would add value to my workflow.

I am working with XNView and Darktable. Both Tools operate with .xmp-Sidecar-Files. Some attributes are compatible between both tools, most of them are not. I use XNview MP to upload my photographs from SDcard to my Harddrive. I do a quick review of all the photos incl. rotation etc. and I add a first rating to them. The Photos are synced to Nextcloud Storage. What do I want to achieve is, that I want to do the rating from more than from one place. For example, from a Tablet-Computer or my Phone. Not sure how to send you the Examples of other RAW-Files, like Canon, Panasonic, Olympus. These files seem to be too big for Github.

PS: If I look further down the road, that would end in a kind of Photo Metadata editor App. I assume that was not your intention.
