Websocket Initial connection delay over wss

We are noticing a delay of 2-3 seconds when we connect via wss using web-socket-js. The flash policy server runs on port on 843 and everything works as expected when connected via ws. Is this a known issue?

Sorry to be so late. Hmm I haven't tried WSS myself, so I'm not sure why. Does it work fine with native WebSocket e.g., with Chrome?
