I just realize that when sending the message over the chat conversation, the time shown are not mine local. It show different timezone instead of my current timezone.

Hello, if you enter whatsapp on the browser do you see everything correctly?

gigitux avatar Jun 30 '20 18:06 gigitux

Hi, I have the same issue, running on Pop_os 20.04, and yes in browser time is correct.

protito avatar Jul 14 '20 03:07 protito

Same thing on Pop_os. The time is correct in the official webapp.

Are you sure that the problem isn't with Pop_OS? Can you timezone the app refers to? @Razorhunter @protito @Tatukis

I got a three-hour difference, so It's showing GMT I think, I'm on GMT-3 (Argentina) Time in the web app on firefox. (The correct for my tz) Screenshot from 2020-07-27 17-36-51 Time in the app. Screenshot from 2020-07-27 17-36-13

I have no issues with timezones in any other app, I hope it helps.

Same issue here. Running Fedora 32, timezone -3. App shows +3 hours of difference (maybe UTC by default?).

Good Morning, I am also having the same problem, 3 hours difference between the application and the GMT-03: 00 system.

Hi, what language do you see whatsapp in? Is it the same you see on the web? (if it's English, most likely there is no whatsapp version in your language)

Sorry for the delay :(

gigitux avatar Oct 28 '20 22:10 gigitux

@gigitux My language is Brazilian Portuguese, and I also use the same language on the web.

@pw00t What is your distro?

gigitux avatar Dec 21 '20 09:12 gigitux

@pw00t What is your distro?

openSUSE Leap 15.2, the same happened in Deepin Linux 20, which was installed via Snap. But I am no longer run Deepin as Leap 15.2 is my daily now. Make it short, either installation via Snap or Flatpak, the result is still the same.
