[FR] some way to scroll fast through a lot of photos
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. The problem is I have 10 thousand photos in a giant timeline, not organized by albums. scrolling down and down triggers a lot of thumbnail loading and crashes on my fireTV before it gets to about 4k photos.
Describe the solution you'd like I think there should be a way to "fast forward" down the timeline, like skip down faster or disable the thumbnail lazy loading if you hold down the "down" button for a few seconds. as far as i can tell there is no other way to reach down that far.
btw THANKS for this app. its totally awesome to be able to show family photos on the TV. I just had a son 8 weeks ago, and Ive shot thousands of photos and its just amazing to be able to stream the photos off my NAS onto the tv. I will buy you a coffee on buymeacoffee!
Isn't it a bit chaotic to have that much unorganised photos;) But I can map the fast forward button to go down a 100 photos for example, would that help?
I think that would be a great solution! Skipping forward a set amount of photos using the forward and rewind buttons. 100 sounds like a good round number to work with.
I've been shooting with a camera on burst mode to capture perfect moments with the baby, unfortunately it means I have like 50 or 60 of nearly the same exact photo. In Immich the main app web and mobile they added "stacking" for this purpose, so I'm probably not the only one.
Your point is valid though, I don't make use of the albums feature, as your TV app would work well with. I simply drop in my memory card and it auto imports and there's just a endless stream in a single timeline.
