sending character data to host

Open jpcapone opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

I used the save editor on my save and my sons save as we play on a LAN. I host the game and when he attempts to join he gets "sending character data to host" and it doesn't go away. I have googled it but can't find any actionable information. Please let me know if any of you guys now how to resolve this issue.

First I've heard of this issue; does that save have an unusually large amount of items on it?

Naaa. I only upped our levels to 73, added two guns, 500 eridium and gave each of us 21,000,000 credits. I did the same thing to both of our saves and I am hosting. I tested both saves in single player and they both worked.

I am going to try a bunch of different things tonight to see if I can get by this error. I will circle back with my findings.

I confirmed that he was able to join my game successfully with a non gibbbed save. Also, I found that I wasn't syncing the level with the experience points. Once I did that to my save I got this error prior to hosting the game: this level 73 character requires downloadable content that is not accessible at this time and then something to the effect of not being able to gain XP beyond level 72. Either way we still get the "sending character data to host" message that doesnt go away. Let me know if there is anything else you would suggest I try.

No you have to be level 72 being any level higher will cause this issue at all times.
