macOS: Quick Terminal shouldn't autohide for dragging operations
Discussed in https://github.com/ghostty-org/ghostty/discussions/4868
Originally posted by aaronk6 January 9, 2025 It would be great if Quick Terminal stayed open when dragging a file, e.g., from Finder. It seems that the current behavior is that Quick Terminal closes as soon as a click outside is registered.

I often drag a file to the terminal to use its path as an argument. It would be great if this could also be supported for Quick Terminal.
Notes
I'm not actually sure how to detect this behavior or if its possible at all, so this issue may be closed as "impossible/impractical" if that ends up being the case.
Just use quick-terminal-autohide = false
That’s not really a solution, see my comment here: https://github.com/ghostty-org/ghostty/discussions/4868#discussioncomment-11806305
When I tried this out on mainline with macOS 15.6.1, Quick Terminal already seems to behave this way.
Fixed in https://github.com/ghostty-org/ghostty/pull/4049, by changing from NSWindow to NSPanel
Hmm, maybe there is a misunderstanding, but it isn’t working for me (tested 1.2.3 and the tip version). As soon as I click a desktop icon, quick terminal will vanish.

Thanks, it is. I was testing with Ghostty as the frontmost application, in which it will work, but not with other apps as the frontmost
