[BUG] Incorrect price

Bug Description

After upgrade to version 2.195 just one symbol price is wrong. It reports the value of the last dividend instead of the stock price:

A similar issue was here: https://github.com/ghostfolio/ghostfolio/issues/3297 but stale more than one year ago.

To Reproduce

Sorry, I'am not able to reproduce but please contact me if you need db dumps or other usefull information to investigate on this issue. For istance I can see in the DB the market price is correct!

I'm getting this as well with NHF.AX via Yahoo. Showing the price as 0.13 AUD which matches the most recent Dividend payment.

I had a similar issue the other day. Interestingly, I also commented on the fact that the value exactly matched the last dividend per share!

Check in the Data Providers section if Yahoo is marked as Available. If not, you might want to increase the timeout in the .env. I found that 10s solved it for me. I think that the default is 3s which was too short for me.

REQUEST_TIMEOUT=10000

Once this is done, you might need to go back to Market Data to gather all recent data.

Actually, scrap that. Problem reoccured after upgrading to 2.201.0.

Ah snap, I haven't had the issue since increasing the timeout from 3s to 10s. Did you do the following?

  • check in the Data Providers section if Yahoo is marked as Status "Available"
  • go back to Market Data to gather all recent data

anything relevant in the docker log?

Ah - I had the timeout increased but I hadn't refreshed the market data. Seems to be working now.

That said, I have just purchased access to the Ghostfolio premium feed. Is there anyway I can switch to that from Yahoo?

@deanpribetic you can change the linked symbol and data source via the asset profile dialog, which is located in the Admin Control panel under Market Data.

This also occurs for me on 2.203.0 for assets with manual data entry where the latest activity on the instrument was a dividend.

When finding the latest value, GF needs to omit dividends.
