I'm not an expert on this, but is it possible the fmv is running perfect, albeit at a slightly incorrect speed and a non-crt monitor?

I'm noticing this with `file.abspath` as well.
Are you referring to the same bug where the title screen's emeralds aren't rendered? If so, I believe it's a gamebug unrelated to emulation.
