Sync Error (general) on HTC with Android 4.0

I have installed CalDav Sync (the free beta version) yesterday on a HTC with Android 4.0 and tried to sync a SOGo calendar. All I get every time is "Caldav sync error (general)", re-adding the respective account, re-installing the App or re-starting the phone doesn't help... what does?
