Connection error after disableing SSLv3 (POODLE)

Hi, after disabling SSLv3 on my web server the caldav sync adapter stopped working. It throws an SSL IO error when it tries to connect. I don't have detailed background, but does this tool ship with its own version of a SSL library?

Any hints would be nice..
