Wrong URL with Google Calendar in version 1.8.1

Hi,

With version 1.8.1 it say : Wrong URL (https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/events) but work great with 1.8

+1 @ahmet2mir for this bug report. Thanks to you I switched to 1.8 and I removed acal since it was the only option to sync my corporate google account without any gapps. cheers

Just to say, I've also hit this problem today… looks like there is a real problem.

I was able to get version 1.8 of the app working with the calendar for my personal gmail account. But I had to go to https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps and enable access for less secure apps.

This workaround does not seem to work for version 1.8.1 of the app. This workaround will also not work for a google apps account, as google does not allow this security switch for these accounts.

I might be wrong, but it seems like the solution is to implement oauth. This might require signing-up for a google api at https://code.google.com/apis/console/b/0/?pli=1#access
