Radicale for Iphones

Does anyone have a step-by-step on setting up radicale to work with iphones? I am able to use it via http in thunderbird (lightening plugin), but think I am hitting https permission issues. The iphone client requires putting in a username and password, however I'm not clear if this is for the apache web server or something I setup in radicale.

I get an SSL error in my iphone CalDAV config. Cannot connect using SSL so suspect there is actually some kind of problem with my web server config.
