modifying a password of an existing account

Open bbpc3 opened this issue 11 years ago • 10 comments

after one account is set up, it is not possible to change the password of this account afterwards without removing the whole account and setting it up again. Editing an already set account would be very useful and great!

On systems that require frequent password changes, deleting and re-creating sync-accounts is tedious. +1 for change password feature

Same issue here. It would be great to edit an existing account. Re-creating is very annoying. +1 for change password feature.

FYI : In the end I am using an APK built and provided[1] by the F-Droid project. Since April 2016 the codebase they use[2] includes the password change ability - e.g. when the calendar client can not connect for any reason, such as password bad or wifi down, I get a notification which I can click and get the interface to change and re-test the account details. Just be careful to not swipe the notification away, if you really want to change the settings ;)
