Feature Request: Image Dithering

It would be great if grayscale/colored grayscale dithering was available as image processing function. This would allow building pages similar to solar.lowtechmagazine.com

Nothing important or anything, just thought it would be an interesting feature.

I mean they look cool in the lowtechmagazine site but I think it's probably not something mainstream enough to be added?

At least you would have another possibility to reduce your total webpage size in order to get into the 512KB Club. I would also like this feature, but I generally agree with you that the scope of people is quite small.
