Installed and synched Bitcoin Knots; now Knots app does not show on home page

Then when I open Knots in app store I get message "Not Running". I can't uninstall or install Knots. Any command I can run to get out of this jam. Prefer to avoid having to synch bitcoin blockchain again. Thanks.
