Upgrade Umbrel App Store 'Wordpress' PHP from 8.2.29 to 8.4
Please update the Umbrel App Store 'Wordpress' to support current PHP 8.4 or at least 8.3, the minimum version to run recommended by Wordpress for Umbrel App Store Wordpress version 6.8.2. I have encountered failures importing my commercially hosted Wordpress due to this issue, as my current site leverages PHP 8.3, causing the import to fail while checking for compatibility
Hey @satwise, thanks for reporting this issue.
Seems like the wordpress image tag 6.8.2 just comes with PHP 8.2. The tag 6.8-php8.4 would come with the PHP version that you need.
Will discuss with @nmfretz and @sharknoon if updating to this tag makes sense and if this might cause any other issues.
Many thanks to all of your kind consideration.

It is possible, that with the PHP upgrade some plugins or themes may stop working. But that is always the case with PHP upgrades. Luckily for us this is just a minor upgrade, so most things should work just fine. On the other hand there is a reason, why WordPress won't include the latest PHP version in the latest or 6.8.2 tag. I am also unsure about this...
Thanks for your comments. Per the attached screenshot, my Umbrel Wordpress instance recommends that a minimum of php 8.3 be implemented. As it is now, php errors create a loop that prevents my site from going live when specifying my HTTPS domain address, which then makes the wp-admin panel inaccessible once my domain is set in the General settings (the last step of going live with the site). So, IMHO, the Umbrel Store version is outdated per Wordpress itself, and likely prevents others from successfully implementing a website with the packaged version.

Hey @satwise, looks like images don't work when sending an email to GitHub. I will look into this next week to see if we can update to the newer php version!
@sharknoon yeah I see it the same way, probably in there for a reason on the default tags.
We for sure need to test properly to not break existing installs.
It would be (probably) easier to run WordPress through Portainer, as WordPress itself, plus all plugins, may have different requirements. Even if WordPress requires a minimum version, the plugins may not meet this requirement.
Portainer? Not familiar with it at all. What the concern about plugin compatibility with PHP upgrade to PHP 8.3 if that's what WordPress recommends itself Why all the extra overhead? I thought Umbrel was supposed to make things easier, not more convoluted.
