I am not so sure about the "Turn plain links into markdown links" commit. The primary renderer (GitHub) automatically converts these to links correctly, and it just pollutes the markdown files. If anything, the link text should be the title or something (like "How to Write a Git Commit Message" for that link to the blog article), so you know better what you about to clicking on.

Looks fine to me otherwise.
