Can't configure WhatsApp - no QR Code - version 2.0.9

As in subject - I can't configure WhatsApp on fresh Station (and fresh Windows 10) installation. App doesn't show qr code , it shows only spinning circle. Neverending spinning. What to do?

since this app is built with electron, it seems that WhatsApp is only running in the latest versions of chrome. this means that it is required to be updated.
