[Project] Docs Redesign
About this project
We want to combine product + platform docs into a single side nav and update the docs landing page.
Why are we doing this?
Multiple docs users (both internal and external) have been confused by the experience of having the left hand nav switch on them if they click on a link that takes them from the product > platform docs or vice versa. In addition, combining product + platform docs into one nav makes it possible for us to add the nav to the landing page, which eliminates a step for our users.
Lastly, the experience of choosing which SDK docs to read isn't consistent. We have a seemingly random selection of language/framework tiles on the landing page and a dropdown selector that only lets you choose from languages (not frameworks). The new landing page design will solve for this.
What we need to do
### Create a new Platform selector
- [ ] https://github.com/getsentry/sentry-docs/issues/9369
### Reorganizing the platform contents, to fit the design in Figma
- [ ] Move all error monitoring related content to a dedicated subfolder
- [ ] Decide what to do with the generic information -> generic folder?
- [ ] Reorganize and add product nav in accordance with this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IsIp3ko4jZAL0h4uKjTqe3cZpGqidue73Pfe3bbcaGc/edit#gid=2117752254
### Implement the redesign
- [ ] Implement the overall layout changes
- [ ] Implement the redesign of the docs homepage
- [ ] (optional - for now) Make sure the layout is responsive
