Enhancement request: basic customizations should be easier

After using Grav with the hypertext theme, due to several issues whose cause I could not understand (whether grav or the theme) I decided to reinitialize the website and stay with the default theme (quark).

This theme has an icon in the header with the text "GRAV" next to it. I thought "GRAV" was the site title so I changed it in the "Configuration" -> "Site" -> "Site title", but grav keeps staying there.

It seems it is not even possible to remove the icon; you can replace it, but not remove (unless you are willing to extend the theme).

This is an enhancement request: it cannot be this hard to

  • remove an icon
  • change the main text appearing in a page (i.e. the huge GRAV next to the icon), for example using the "Site title" from the configuration page.
  • change the footer.

These are basic ops, usually done right after the installation for customizing the website, and they should be doable without forcing the users to study and implement a child theme (that is the only way I found to modify those elements, even after reading too much documentation).

Did you try to change the svg code that generates that logo?
