Cursor confusing Japanese and Javanese
Even though I set Cursor to speak Japanese, it consistently switches to Javanese instead.
This happens every time even though I speak to Cursor in Japanese.
It doesn’t matter if I restart the workspace or open a new file.
It’s a frustrating issue, especially as a Cursor Pro user.
⸻
Steps to reproduce 1. Set the assistant language to Japanese 2. Start a new chat or reopen a workspace 3. Assistant replies in Javanese instead of Japanese
⸻
Expected behavior
The assistant should respond in Japanese as explicitly set by the user.

Additional context
This mix-up between “Japanese” and “Javanese” seems to be a language mapping bug. Please fix this as soon as possible – it breaks usability for Japanese users.
