Track layouts per virtual desktop
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I use different layouts on different virtual desktops, since each virtual desktop is dedicated to a different task.
Presently, KZones offers me the layout I last selected, regardless of which virtual desktop that happened on. So when I want to place a window I often have to re-select the layout I want first.
(And, of course, I often get that wrong on the first attempt because several of my layouts look similar (e.g., they're mirror images of each other), so working around this feels quite irritating.)
Describe the solution you'd like I'd like each virtual desktop to remember the layout I last applied for it, and to not change based on activity on other virtual desktops.
Additional context
I'm also multi-monitor, so when I've enabled the setting to track layouts per screen, I want each (screen, virtual desktop) pair to act independently.
+1 on this, I was frustrated to find that none of the KWin scripts barring Krohnkite support individual layouts for individual virtual desktops and KZones is the closest I've found to what is offered by PowerToys Fancy Zones on Windows.
Absolutely, this would make a huge difference in my workflow management. I have different layouts depending on what I am doing, coding vs media as an example.
