Can we customize the size of the pen-tip mouse cursor?

Can we customize the size of the pen-tip mouse cursor? The default arrow is too large. Can we scale this icon

There is a fork ( pubpub-zz/ppInk) that while it doesn't allow to change the size of the arrow but it contains the arrow in a separate file (cursor.ico) so it's pretty easy to change the size by simply resizing that file.
