Categorized news detail view appears under wrong URL

Hello, on this page (https://www.hamm.de/kultur), I'll just call it page 1, we publish categorized news with the plugin pi1. A news detail page would then be accessible under the following URL, for example (https://www.hamm.de/kultur/news/pension-schoeller). On another page (https://www.hamm.de/ash), I'll call it page 2, news is also output using pi1. Logically, the previously mentioned news from page 1 does not appear here, as it is a different category. However, we have noticed via the Google search that news items that are included on page 1 are also listed via the detailed view on page 2 (https://www.hamm.de/ash/news/pension-schoeller). Please note the differences in the URL ("ash" and "kultur").

Is this a known problem and is there a possible solution? In any case, I would be pleased to receive feedback.

sounds like https://packagist.org/packages/georgringer/news-category-pid-constraint could be a solution?

Thank you for your feedback. The extension could probably solve the problem, but unfortunately it is not installable for TYPO3 12. Is there already a new version or a prospect when a version for 12 will be available?

I guess this should work with just raising the requirements. do you mind testing it locally and do a PR then? or sponsor it if I should do it?
