Additional context When I downgrade news to version 10.0.3 the RSS feed re-appears
Hello
I came here because i stumbled upon the same behavior after updating my version of news
After some search i noticed the issue came from my TypoScript
I was previously using the default configuration from the documentation here https://docs.typo3.org/p/georgringer/news/10.0/en-us/Tutorials/BestPractice/Rss/Index.html#id3
It appears that with news version 10.0.x plugins are still using the list_type value of the tt_content to define the plugin
pageNewsRSS.10.select.where = colPos=0 AND list_type = "news_pi1"
However with news version > 11.x.x plugins are now using the CType instead
Thus, the TypoScript needs to be slightly updated
pageNewsRSS.10.select.where = colPos=0 AND CType = "news_pi1"
My plugins were updated, but not my TypoScript template, and the change was so small i didn't see it. By just changing this part my RSS feeds started working again (Also make sure you have the Generic.html template instead of List.html in the fluid_styled_content templates folder)
I've checked the documentation, the example given in the documentation for version 11.0 is incorrect, tho it's fixed in the version 11.1 and onwards
Hope this is clear enough and can help you if your problem is the same as mine
@marvinm96 Thanks for the pointer. Completely forgot about this change. I managed to restore my feeds by calling the new plugin in a slightly different way though. Would be good if the documentation for this was updated
but is fine in the docs, https://docs.typo3.org/p/georgringer/news/11.3/en-us/Tutorials/BestPractice/Rss/Index.html#automatic-rss-feeds-based-on-plugins isnt it?
@georgringer Based on the suggestion from @marvinm96 it should be but for me this isn't working. I will keep using my solution
