screen_display cannot be toggled
I've tried the switch entity provided by the integration as well as trying to set the attribute screen_display. Neither works.
I've tried several other options like screen_display_new, night_light, and sleep_mode. None of them work.
I'm currently on version v0.3.16-Beta7. Before this, I was on version v0.2.2, and on that version, I had no issues toggling the screen_display with the provided switch entity.
Edit: I forgot to mention this is the display on my Carrier mini-splits.
I manually reverted back to release version 0.3.11, which is listed as v0.3.10 in the manifest.json
On this version, I can toggle the display with no issues.
It looks like the same behavior, for sure. Have you tried reverting back to version 0.3.11?
I don't think the feature ever worked for my A/Cs, I am just hopeful that it might one day ;)
I'm running 0.3.16 and also have this issue.
I can toggle it to OFF via an entity toggle switch and I hear the unit respond with a "beep" tone but the screen display stays on.
2s later the toggle switch moves back to ON.
Can you control the led display from App, or just support control from IR remote?
If it can’t be controlled from the App, then it’s very likely that it doesn’t support network control for this at all.
Iirc this cannot be controlled from the app as well.
What I did was grabbing an old RM4 mini and taught it the LED toggle command and now I can do it from hass
I have the same problem please fix it! In my ACs are white and bright the temp screen on the device and It's difficult at night when we sleep. I use the remote only for this and when I use the integration it turns back on!
