Russian small caps look uneven
First of all, thank for this great effort on making an open variant of Garamond!
I noticed that some letters ("л", "д", "с", "ч", "и") in Russian small caps in the EB Garamond look uneven (jumpy):
Compare the same title rendered in Adobe Garamond Premier Pro:
XeLaTeX from TeXLive 2013 was used to build both PDFs, snapshots of which are shown above.
I haven’t done cyrillic smallcaps yet. I wonder how you got some of them. Of course the ones you got are present in latin and greek for which smallcaps are provided already, but they don’t figure in the corresponding lookup. Are you by chance using the tex-fonts from TL2013?
I wonder how you got some of them.
I just downloaded OTFs from Bitbucket and installed them both on Windows and Linux, that simple :-). Then used fontspec, inserted \textsc{} into my source and voilà. If you want, I can prepare a small *.tex reproducer code.

If needed, I can help with testing Cyrillic small caps. Not much skills from font coding perspective, but at least I can tell whether Russian text looks OK or not.

I checked with tlgmr - I do not have a "tex-fonts" package installed. Do you mean that there may be some magic substitution of glyphs from different fonts?
The package youʹd be looking for is called "ebgaramond". I’d really like to see your tex source, especially the preamble because I can’t see how you’d get any cyrillic smallcaps with these fonts.

I checked my TL2013 installation - I do indeed have this package installed, version 0.15. The OTF files I downloaded from the Bitbucket have version 0.15d. Under Windows I installed only those files from 0.15d, so basically there should be no interference with older version.

I prepared a sample for you: https://gist.github.com/grigory-rechistov/8971436 I basically kept the preamble from my book untouched, so it's rather lengthy and may contain a lot of irrelevant settings.
Thank you! I’m sorry to tell you that at the moment the small caps font is unusable with cyrillic script. In fact, the block shouldn’t be there, I simply forgot to delete it. I want to do cyrillic small caps soon, but for the time being it’s not usable.

That is not really critical for me at the moment. At any rate, I am glad that an open multi-language variant of Garamond exists at all! Please, add a note about unavailability of small caps to current limitations list of documentation so that other people will not be confused in the future.
I think this bug can remain open until you have time to implement Cyrillic smallcaps.
Where would you suggest to add that note? in the specimen, the website or the readme file?
I guess a readme is the best place to have such things, under a "Things to do" section.
L = the only Cyrillic small cap.,
АБВГДЕЖЗИЙКЛМНОПРСТУФХЦЧШЩЪЫЬЭЮЯ ᴀ#ʙᴦдᴇжзᴎйᴋᴫᴍʜᴏᴨᴩᴄᴛуфхцчшщъыьэюᴙ = only 1 = ᴫ ᴦ ᴨ ᴩ = Greek ᴎ & ᴙ = back-to-front sc n & r a b e k m h o c t = Latin sc so this leaves джзйуфхцчшщъыьэю as normal lower case & none for Б (& Ё)
I take it Cyrillic small caps are not implemented yet?
