how to extend the record geojson

Description

When following the discussion at https://github.com/opengeospatial/ogcapi-records/ you get the impression the group aims to keep the standard record geojson to a minimum (for ease of adoption), but encourages any implementers to add additional properties to the record as they see fit.

For that reason i'm interested to understand if/how pycsw will enable administrators to extend the record.geojson model to advertise additional properties. I'm for example interested to include the scale, lineage statement and status properties on the record geojson.

What are your thoughts on this?

Any extension to the OARec model will work given the current approach in pycsw. Consideration is needed if an format extension requires a given element to also be queryable.
