Something to make it easier than hunting through requests in the browser developer tools to see error messages when a map-source doesn't return something expected.

I'm not sure what the UI/UX needs to be here, but:

Flagging the layer in Visible Layers, log something to console.error, a service/layer tool that makes the request to the map-source in a new browser window, ...
