Optional Dependencies

Theoretically, shouldn't the internal blocks have optional dependencies? I think we should have a way of tracking whether the user has dependencies and selectively compiling each block.

This is especially relevant with an MPD module I am working on, as I don't expect all users to have MPD installed.
