It is not possible to use the network features in a local network

Hi

My network is not connected to the outside world but I have some network directories like Calibre etc. When I click on the world icon Fbreader says it cant conect to data.fbreader.org then refuses to let me access to the rest of the interface. It would be nice if that does not happen. Instead it could say that it is not able to connect to fbreader.org and then lets the user add or connect other options or methods.
