Hi all,

I am understanding that how FbReader works and looking features of fbReader, but I found that FbReader does not support .PDF format file on linux platform , on android its works fine but on linux platform it does not support .PDF format file. Most of ebooks are in .pdf format. so FbReader must support .pdf format file.

Well, there are quite enough PDF readers for linux already. Why would we need one more? I mean why support it inside FBReader? I think evince & Okular should be fine for the job.

Hi, evince & Okular are works fine but Fbreader is used on linux and android platform, so if FbReader support PDF format then it will easy to user to reader pdf ebooks. And as per accessibility point of view on linux platform Orca screen reader can't read fbraeder's contents, so fbreader must accessible to other screen reader.sorry for bad english.

I find evince to be super slow with image pdfs. Try browsing pdfs from archive.org you will see what I mean. Zathura is a better pdf viewer.

Zathura is great yes. But having support for PDF in FBReader is important to me. Zathura and all other PDF viewer doesn't have something that FBReader has. The library. Really there isn't around any plugin that supports that?

Having a different reader for each different book format is quite crappy.
